Postdoc in Neuroscience– University of Freiburg, Germany       


The Institute for Physiology I of the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg is offering to the next possible point of time a Postdoc position in the group “Systemic and Cellular Neurophysiology“.


Your profile:

As applicant, you have got an academic Ph.D. degree with very good grades in biology, neuroscience or medicine.

We further expect a high degree of interdisciplinary thinking, the willing to integrate into a motivated team and a focused and result-orientated working style.

The position is first limited to one year with the possibility to an extension and will be funded following the German scale classification TV-L 13.

2 PhD-Positions in Neuroscience    


The Institute for Physiology I is offering two PhD positions to study long-range neuronal projections in the context of learning and memory (project 1) and to investigate the effect of breathing rhythms on neuronal function (project 2). Both projects will be driven by state-of-the-art in vivo electrophysiology.

Your profile:

We invite applications from highly motivated candidates with a strong interest in neuroscience. A M.Sc. or equivalent degree in molecular medicine, biology, neuroscience, or other related subject is required. Programming experience (Python or Matlab) and a FELASA-B certificate are beneficial.

We offer:

Extensive training in in vivo electrophysiological recording, behavioural experiments, and advanced data analysis. The doctoral candidates will be employed for a duration of three years (65%, TV-L E13).
