Ionera is a startup (est. 2014) of the University of Freiburg. Ionera's mission is to provide innovative tools for ionic sensing with nanopores and for electrophysiological screening of membrane proteins.
Nanion was founded in 2002 as a start-up of the University of Munich (Department of Physiology and Center for Nanoscience). Nanion is one of the leading manufacturers of automated (planar) patch clamp devices, with >60 employees and subsidiaries in China and the USA.
